Wayne Conrad Advisory

Your business is growing.
But nothing moves without you.

That is not a team problem. It is an architecture problem. And it compounds every time you hire someone new to absorb the chaos.

The pattern

If any of these sound familiar, the problem is structural — not personal.

You delivered the work six weeks ago. You are still waiting to be paid for it. Not because the client is dishonest. Because nobody owns the job of chasing the money.

You hired someone to help with the back office. Within ninety days you are reviewing their spreadsheets every evening and answering questions about work you thought you had handed off.

Every deal that needs a discount or an exception stalls until you are free to respond. Not because the decision is complex. Because nobody defined where your sign-off was supposed to end.

A buyer walked through your operations and asked what happens to the business if you are not available for two weeks. The honest answer made you uncomfortable.

The background

Wayne Conrad

I ran this problem for twenty-eight years before I solved it.

In 1995 I founded my first service business. In 2017 I launched a second while still running the first. For six years I ran both simultaneously — profitably, with happy clients, and working sixty to seventy hours a week on administrative work that added no client value whatsoever.

In 2023 I sold both and relocated to Bangkok. I built a third practice from scratch, automating everything I had been doing manually for nearly three decades. The result was seventy percent less operational overhead and the same service quality, running across three time zones without daily founder involvement.

I now help SME owners make the same transition. Not theory. Real implementation from someone who lived the problem.

The results

  • Client reporting automated — twelve hours per week returned to the practice
  • Client onboarding, proposals, scheduling and invoicing all automated
  • Same service quality, seventy percent less operational overhead
  • Runs from anywhere, across three time zones, without daily founder involvement
  • Two businesses sold in 2023 — the third built to run without me from day one

How it works

Three steps from founder dependency to operational clarity.

01

Diagnose

Five questions that identify exactly where your business depends on you personally to function and what it is costing you in margin and time.

02

Map

Every process that requires your availability rather than your judgment gets identified and sequenced for redesign, starting with the highest-cost gaps first.

03

Build

The process is fixed before anyone is hired into it. The founder becomes the exception, not the default, for decisions, approvals, and operational coordination.
